Happy Independence Day! 🎆
I have many fond memories of celebrating July 4th with our neighbors and community. Like so many towns across America, our little town had a parade, local stores sold fireworks, there was a rodeo and evening dance for the community, and a public fireworks display put on by our local volunteer fire department. Ooooo, Ahhhh, Ohhhh! 🎆🎇✨ (Thank You Newcastle!)
I get that things have changed over time and we see more restrictions, especially in the kinds of fireworks available on the market, what's allowed in city limits, and drones replacing fireworks displays. But one thing that hasn't changed over the years is community. Neighbors still get together for block parties and small fireworks displays. People still gather for parades, rodeos, and picnics.
I would be remiss if I didn't offer ANY tips in my newsletter so here are a few reminders on Personal Fireworks Safety -
Always have adult supervison with children
Keep water nearby
NEVER relight a dud!
Protect your pets
Wear safety glasses
Dispose of used fireworks properly
Have the most SAFE and Enjoyable Independence Day this week in your community! Take lots of pictures, as you are creating cherished memories with family and friends!
